FUNDAMENTALS OF WRITING SKILLS

This is the perfect course for students at LINC levels 4 and 5.  In it, students learn and practise the basics of writing including grammar and syntax.  Students will also learn and practise the writing process: brainstorming, outlining, drafting, editing, proofreading and redrafting.  Tone and cultural appropriateness, the invaluable soft skills of writing, are also emphasized.  Students have the opportunity apply what they learn to a variety of types of business and academic writing tasks including sentences, notes, paragraphs, emails, letters, and short reports.  Students who complete the Fundamentals of Writing course, may register for the Writing Skills course.
